Everything you need to know about Breast Sizes

Breast Sizes

Before we get into the science of measuring breast sizes, I would like to ask everyone reading this article, a question.

DO BREAST SIZES REALLY MATTER??

This question is common between both men and women. The reality is that breast size does matter. One of the truly mystical phenomena of the universe is the heterosexual male’s attraction to female breast. This is because man is attracted to round, soft, curvy, inviting and comforting nature of the woman’s breast.

But of course, the male attraction with breasts goes beyond just staring at them. They are the ultimate turn-on for most guys because they’re right there. Even though men are appealed by a woman’s general appearance. However, alas for women (especially those with mosquito-bite-sized breasts), breast size does matter to most men. Straight off, some women might differ with me. For them, I would like to ask only one question:

Does penis size matter? The answer is yes.

As women are aroused by the size of a man’s penis, the same way men are aroused by the size of a woman’s breasts. For women fortunately, this puppy love for breast size depends on the man’s current relationship status. A single man looks to value or to be more precise salivates over a large breast size. This is particularly true when men are around their friends. Naturally with a room full of testosterone, breast size does matter. Even if you don’t agree, your friends will win over you by the end of the night.

So the most important question of all:

ARE MEN ATTRACTED TO BIG OR SMALL BOOBS??

The answer is quite simple; it depends on the person. Like anything else, different people have different choices; neither big nor small is “good” or “bad”. Some people like it small, some like it big; there is no definite answer to this question. The most significant aspect is proportionality. A short or thin girl with huge breasts is a bit of a turn-off.  However, there are some men who have particular preferences, but for most, as long as there is something they can fondle with they do not care.

So why men are obsessed with big breasts?

Men think about popular sex symbols like Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy or Carmen Electra and conclude that bigger the better. In general, men tend to be attracted towards large breasts because they represent fertility. Even though a man may not even be imagining about having kids, subconsciously the human mind gears are attracted to a woman with a more ample bust.

Let us now focus on our topic, measurement of breast size. One of the most interesting activities is the measurement of breasts. Many times, sixty percent of the women are wrong about the size of their breast size and end up wearing the wrong bra. In this article, we will cover the most important aspect after which you will know the right size of your valuable assets.

So how does one know whether you are wearing a wrong-sized bra? The answer to this question is quite simple; any bra that is too loose around the back and has small sized cups is not a perfect fit. Women often end up making silly mistakes when it comes to their prized possessions.

Who made the first bra?

The history of Bras or Brassiere dates back to as early as 2000 B.C when women used garments that were designed to support, separate and lift their breast. Between 1500 and 1800, corsets were used as a traditional under-garment for women. It was in the late 18th century that a woman named Marie Tucek designed the first Bra. This bra was similar to the modern day bra; it had a shoulder strap with a simple hook and eye closure.

How to measure your breast size?

Your torso’s measurement across your nipple line is how you determine your breast size, also known as Cup size and Band size. A letter represents the Cup size whereas a number represents the band size.

For example, a 34E is the same size as a 32D or 34C, but on a smaller frame, thus an E cup is not of the same size in every bra. We usually use a measuring tape for measuring the cup size and band size to find the breast size.

Full breast size and semi breast sizes measurements

You get different cup sizes based on the difference between the size of your full breast and upper part of the breast. To measure upper bust, place the measurement tape under your arms but above your breast. Therefore, the different types of cup sizes are as follows:

  • Difference less than 1” = AA cup
  • 1” = A cup
  • 2” = B cup
  • 3” = C cup
  • 4” = D cup
  • 5” = D cup, and so on.

Keep the measuring tape right under your breasts to measure the band size. While measuring your band size, it is very important to keep your hands down and measure the tape horizontally. If you get an odd number after measurement, then round it off to the nearest even number. For example if you measure your chest to around 33”, then your band size is 34”. Different misconceptions exist among women regarding their breast sizes and one of them is the belief that large breast sizes need a large band size that may not necessarily be true.

Keep in mind

Different bras are designed for different breast sizes. Another important tip when you are doing bra fitting is that you will have to see that your bra straps are not the lone supports to your breasts…
